Avea selects WFI
California-based wireless technology company WFI has been selected by Turkish GSM-1800 cellular operator Avea to provide radio network optimisation and performance evaluation services. The contract is valued at USD1.2 million and work is already under way. Avea had more than seven million cellular subscribers and over 14% of Turkey’s mobile market at the end of September according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database.
