Strong sales and customer growth at Avea

Avea, the smallest of Turkey’s three cellular network operators, has reported full-year revenue of TRY2.1 billion (USD1.21 billion), up 24% year-on-year. The growth came on the back of a sharp rise in subscriber numbers, which were up 23% to 12.2 million, giving Avea an 18% share of the overall wireless market in Turkey. Avea is a subsidiary of Turkey’s dominant fixed line operator Turk Telekom.
