Superonline acquires Metronet for TRY29m

Turkish broadband provider Turkcell Superonline has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% of Istanbul-based operator Metronet for a total enterprise value of TRY29 million (USD12.8 million). The transfer of the company’s shares will take place following the required regulatory approvals.

Metronet provides communication services including internet, voice and digital services in Turkey. Through this acquisition, Superonline’s in-city fibre-optic coverage will increase from twelve cities to 14. Further, following the integration of Metronet’s infrastructure, the number of homes passed by Superonline’s network will increase by approximately 100,000.
