TeliaSonera to quit TurkCell
The newly merged Scandinavian powerhouse TeliaSonera is reported to be keen to sell its stake in TurkCell, the Turkish mobile operator. According to reports from Dow Jones Newswires, the Swedish/Finnish telco considers TurkCell to be ‘non-core’ as it fails to fit in with its new strategy of focusing on the Nordic and Baltic regions and Russia.
