The earthquake region merchanders in Turkey, has sold TRY 3 billion worth of products through Hepsiburada
Through the “Trade and Technology Empowerment for the Earthquake Region” program, Hepsiburada has contributed to a trade volume of TRY 3 billion in the region in a period of nine months until December 18, 2023
D-MARKET Electronic Services & Trading (Hepsiburada), a leading Turkish e-commerce platform (hereinafter referred to as “Hepsiburada” or the “Company”), announces the nine-month results of the “Trade and Technology Empowerment for the Earthquake Region” Program (the “Program”) for the period from March 6, 2023 to December 18, 2023.
Since the launch of the Program in March 2023:
– The total number of active traders operating in the Earthquake Region has reached approximately 16,000, with approximately 2,400 new businesses selling their products online through Hepsiburada.
– The active sellers in the earthquake region have sold a total of 6.2 million products through 3.9 million orders, generating a trade volume of over TRY 3 billion.
– The trade volume generated by over 3,000 women entrepreneurs and women’s cooperatives in the region amounted to around TRY 174 million.
– In addition to its e-commerce specialization center in Adana, Hepsiburada opened its second center (in Hatay) in November 2023. Through the e-commerce specialization centers, Hepsiburada supports existing merchants and organizes training courses and programs for those who are new to the e-commerce market. Over a thousand merchants from the region have benefited from such trainings.
– Hepsiburada has reached more than 4,000 children in the region through the activities of the social responsibility program.
– Hepsiburada, in collaboration with the “Promise for Tomorrow Training” program, has organized courses on “e-commerce, entrepreneurship and marketing” for third and fourth year students in the provinces affected by the earthquakes. At its launch, one hundred young people participated in the training program to celebrate the centenary of the Republic of Tuerkiye.
The Program is scheduled to run for two years from its beginning.
