TT reports half a million fixed line losses

Turk Telekom says it lost 500,000 fixed line subscribers during 2008, though it is hoping to halt the customer losses this year and finish 2009 with user numbers at their current level of around 17.5 million. Turkey’s cellular market is still growing quickly and many consumers are dropping their fixed line in favour of a wireless connection.
