Turk Telekom fined USD230 million for ‘tax irregularities’

Dow Jones Newswires reports that Turkish incumbent fixed line operator Turk Telekom has been issued with a fine of approximately TRY343 million (USD230 million) for alleged tax irregularities occurring between 2005 and 2008. In a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange on Tuesday evening the telco said it will explore all legal options, including a settlement.
