Turk Telekom maintaining investments in 2009

Turkey’s dominant fixed line operator Turk Telekom has announced plans to invest almost TRY1.7 billion (USD1.07 billion) in 2009, Dow Jones reports. The telco says that it expects the current global financial crisis to have a minimal impact on its operations next year. ‘The company is in a very good financial situation,’ Chief Executive Paul Doany told Ihlas News Agency. ‘We are continuing by recruiting new people and all our investments continue,’ he added.
