Turk Telekom to sue cellular rival
Turk Telekom is to sue the country’s largest mobile operator, Turkcell, for offering anti-competitive service packages. The fixed line telco claims that Turkcell is pricing its packages below the termination fees charged to other operators, making it impossible for rivals to compete on an equal footing, Reuters reports. Turk Telekom is Turkey’s dominant wireline operator and is also present in the country’s cellular market through its part-owned subsidiary, Avea. Turkcell has yet to comment on the charges.
