Turk Telekom’s 3Q20 revenues tops TRY7.4 billion with 18.6% year-on-year increase

Turkish Telekom, added 269,000 net additional mobile subscribers in Q3 while fixed broadband subscriber base tops 12.8 million

Turkish operator Turk Telekom’s consolidated revenues increased to TRY7.4 billion (USD875 million) in Q3 2020, up by 18.6% year-on-year. EBITDA grew 15.7% to TRY3.5 billion with an EBITDA margin of 47.2%, and operating profit (EBIT) rose 17.1% to TRY2.1 billion. Net income fell to TRY432 million in 3Q20 compared to TRY1.1 billion a year earlier due to unfavorable FX movements during the quarter.

Turk Telekom’s total wholesale and retail fixed broadband subscriber base increased to 12.8 million at end-September 2020 with 534,000 net additions in Q3. Combined fiber-to-the-cabinet (FTTC) and fiber-to-the-building/home (FTTB/H) connections exceeded 5.2 million following 432,000 net additions – the highest ever quarterly performance in this segment. The number of FTTC subscribers reached 3.2 million, while FTTB/H subscribers increased to 2.0 million. The operator added 269,000 net additional mobile subscribers in Q3 to take its total to 23.1 million, and the post-paid base reached 63% of the total with 362,000 quarterly net post-paid additions.
