Turkcell adds 1.3 million customers to take base to 25.6 million

Turkcell, Turkey’s largest wireless operator, has reported that in the three months ended 30 June 2005 it saw a 5.3% increase in its customer base to 25.6 million; 20.4 million of the total took pre-paid services. Revenues for the quarter rose 16% to USD1.05 billion as a result of increased usage and tariff increases. EBITDA rose 19% to USD467.5 million, while net income improved to USD213.7 million.
