Turkcell board member arrested

Erin Panuksuzer, a director of Turkcell, was one of five people arrested by the Turkish authorities yesterday as part of an investigation into allegations of judicial corruption. Local media reports have linked the arrests to an investigation known as Operation Scalpel, which is looking into the supposed corrupt award of hospital contracts.
