Turkcell, Ericsson achieve 24.7Gbps in 5G test
Turkey’s leading mobile operator by users Turkcell has partnered Swedish technology giant Ericsson in 5G network equipment tests in Istanbul which achieved a peak data speed of 24.7Gbps using the 15GHz frequency band, the cellco announced in a media release. The 5G test, which was broadcast live on the Internet, also displayed one millisecond network latency levels. Turkcell has been collaborating with Ericsson on nascent 5G technology development for around a year and a half.
