Turkcell Q3 revenues, EBITDA climb 13.6%, 18.6%

Turkcell posted total revenues of TRY6.587 billion (USD1.152 billion) for the third quarter of 2019, up 13.6% year-on-year (and 43% on a two-year cumulative basis), including sales in Turkey which grew 15% to TRY5.652 billion (representing 85.8% of the total). Q3 EBITDA of TRY2.839 billion was up 18.6% y-o-y giving an EBITDA margin of 43.1%, and net income more than tripled to TRY801 million (from TRY241 million in 3Q18) on the back of strong operational profitability. Mobile subscriber quarterly net additions reached 526,000 (with 503,000 post-paid net adds) and mobile ARPU grew 17.6% year-on-year, with 4G LTE users’ average quarterly data usage hitting 10GB. Turkcell also reported an all-time high residential fibre ARPU growth of 19.8%, while its multi-play-with-TV subscriber ratio rose by 4.7 percentage points y-o-y to 52.2%.
