Turkcell reports 3Q performance

Turkey’s largest wireless operator Turkcell had 26.7 million customers at the end of September 2005, a 19.7% increase in twelve months. Post-paid customers totalled 5.3 million, with pre-paid accounts making up the remainder. Of the total gross new subscribers acquired in the third quarter 10% were post-paid. Churn in the period remained unchanged on the previous quarter at 2.5%, up from 1.95% in 3Q 2004.
