Turksat plans two new satellites by 2014
Turkey’s state-backed satellite operator Turksat says it plans to launch two new platforms over the next six years to expand the footprint of its satellite system. The Turksat 4A platform is expected to be launched in 2011 while Turksat 5A will follow in 2014. The firm introduced its Turksat 3A satellite in June and says that demand for capacity has been so strong that it will be 95% allocated by next month.
