Turksat prepares new platform

The Turkish satellite and cable TV operator Turksat is preparing to launch a new satellite in April next year to replace the ageing Turksat 1C. The new Turksat 3A orbiter has been constructed by Alcatel Alenia Space under an order placed in 2006, the Anatola news agency reports. Turksat 3A will cater for both telecoms and TV services.
