Uzans emerge from hiding to rebut police charges

The Uzan family has stridently rebutted allegations of wrong doing in Turkey, adding that they will fight any government attempts to illegally bring down their business empire. Although five members of the family are in hiding, the Uzans have come out fighting saying that ‘the prosecutor’s actions are without proper legal basis’. The police charges are believed to be in connection with Uzan-owned Imarbank, which was sequestrated last month when it became insolvent.
